Our Mission…
The Fra Angelico Society (FAS) is an apostolate of Catholic visual artists who, inspired by Blessed Fra Angelico, are on a mission to evangelize the world through beauty expressed in both religious and sacred art. As a Catholic artist fellowship, we support each other both in faith and art by together engaging in the Dominican pillars of community, service, study, and prayer.

- What Qualifies?
- Catholic classical artists who are or are seriously seeking becoming professional (i.e., Professional painters, sculptors, graphite/charcoal artists)
- Qualified by Core Staff Members (by vote) based on artistic skill, fidelity to Catholic theology/orthodoxy, and clergy recommendation
- Priority given to artists residing in San Francisco (Non-local artists may be considered on a case by case basis.)
- Must show their at least 3+ works at each FAS art show (requirement may change as FAS Membership grows)
- Members must be 18+ years old and fully initiated into Roman Catholic Church
- Commitment Level: one meeting a month, and members must submit their artwork to FAS art shows (once to twice a year)
- Members can enjoy displaying their art in FAS art shows and continue attending FAS meetings. FAS meetings vary in being more study-orientated or fellowship-orientated, where members pray together and are in a community where Catholic artists exchange artistic ideas grounded in faith.
